The
Elk River Public Utility District (ERPUD) is a public utility district established in 1955 by the State of Tennessee to provide efficient and reliable natural gas energy throughout its franchised area of Coffee and Franklin counties. The District sustains its
operations and expands the system solely from the sale of natural gas and related services without making a profit. The District currently serves over 17,000 homes and businesses through a network of over 760 miles of mains. ERPUD installs and/or replaces
approximately 15-20 miles of mains throughout our service area annually. Some of the communities served are Tullahoma, Manchester, Winchester, Decherd, Estill Springs, Cowan, Sewanee, Midway and the USAF Arnold Engineering Development Complex. The District is governed by a
Board of Commissioners who determine its policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
The management team is responsible for operating the District according to the direction of the Board. The District currently has 56 employees.
